feature request Threat for CONNECT IQ SDK 1.9.x and 2.1.x

Jenny, the Developer Program Manager from [email][email protected][/email] asked me to write a theat regarding issues about GArmin Connect, so i start a feature request here:

for now the API of Connect IQ SDK 1.9 and 2.1 Beta lack the following important features (mc, Monkey C API) that was requested by app users so many times:

- save /edit navigation course informations (as monkey c objects, mc scripts sufficient) (in gpx format they are called called tracks, routes, xml processing is not required on handheld device)
- list/edit/remove navigation favorites (as monkey c objects) (in gpx called waypoints)
- store the elevation information of new navigation::favorites (as monkey c objects) (only latitude and longitude data is supported)

any user is encouraged to extend this threat. hope this theat helps a bit.

Add the ability to make FIT files go faster in the simulator .. all that waiting is really tough at times.

Was this supposed to be "thread" and not "threat"? Or do I have to pay a ransom for my CIQ apps? :)

any comments by Garmin Connect IQ Admins?

thank you folks to bring this thread to life in a funny way. On my keyboard the t is next to the d :-), so sorry for the misspelling.

Are there any ideas from garmin to add the missing feature requests to the Connect IQ API? Or do we close the chapter navigation on Garmin handheld devices and focus on fitness devices only?

We take threats seriously around here! :) All kidding aside, thanks for your interest in these features.

I can assure you that these are features we'd like to make available, and in fact, we have plans to add them to the SDK in the future. I wish I could shed a little light on the timeline, but I don't have that information available yet.
