does Instinct 2X Solar support connect iq data fields?

i've updated my sdk to 4.2.4 and enabled the Instinct 2X Solar in the manifest but I can't run it on the simulator since there is no option for "Choose a Target SDK Version" showing up.

Other new devices are working fine (like FR 965, Edge 540...)

(I've set minimum SDK to be 2.3.x so other devices can use lower API versions, but would expect a higher one on the new device.)

any ideas what is going on?

Sounds like Horsetooth is using Eclipse and not VS Code

As Eclipse isn't really maintained anymore, the best solution for the OP is to switch to VS Code. The Instinct2x is working fine for me with…

change one line (value for connectIQVersion) to:

"connectIQVersion": "4.1.7"

fyi my app requires permissions "Background", "Communications", and "FIT Contributor" - is one of those missing on the 2x solar?

What do you mean no option for Choose a target SDK version? Where do you expect that option to occure?

Yeah this is a bug in the Eclipse plugin IIRC, which is extra ironic since "Choose a target SDK version" doesn't actually do anything as far as I can tell (it has no effect on the command line that's executed, and the corresponding option doesn't exist in VS Code.)

thanks, this worked! i guess i missed the memo on switching to VS, but eclipse is still fully working for me with this.
