Are Multisport apps reserved for Garmin only?

I don't think you'll see apps, only activities, IMHO.

It seems there are visible only activities created by Garmin. I would like to create "activity app" but I don't see way how to do it.

You can't.  Even Garmin apps are limited as what you can do with "change sport".  Basically just Tri stuff.  Run/swim/bike

Not that it helps with CIQ, but on my 945 LTE I was able to create an activity with Running, Elliptical, and Elliptical sports using Change Sport, and I was also able to create a custom Multisport activity with Floor Climb, Cardio, and Strength, so I don't think it's the case in general that Change Sport / Multisport are restricted to tri stuff only. Even Navigate is available, and it's not really a "sport".

If you create a CIQ Device App, it will appear in the same menu as built-in activities, and you can use CIQ activity recording to record an activity session just like built-in activities such as Run and Walk, but it can only be a single sport per session (multisport isn't possible.)

I think the best you can do is what this dev does for their tri app, which is to record a separate session for each sport. (Source code is available on github - click the source code link on the store page.)

Yes, i can create multisport (or change sport "on fly" vie function "change sport"). Unfortunately in related menu apears activities from Garmin only.

Sorry, which "related menu" do you mean?

Do you mean the menu of built-in activities/apps that you get when pressing START at the watch face (which is what I originally assumed). I see both built-in apps and CIQ apps here.

Or do you mean the menu of historical activities? If I hold UP for the settings menu, then select History, I can see activities from both built-in apps, and CIQ apps.

Let's say you are doing a "run" activity on a device.  (not all devices support the following.)

On a 5 button device, long press of the middle button allows you to change things, like "run settings", where you can changes things like data screens/data fields/auto pause/etc).  Another option there (on devices with "multi-sport"), allow you to change the sport.  Think of a tri where you change from running to biking.

It's changing the sport while you are doing an activity.  Not the full list you get from the start button, and not the historical.info

Way how to do it is a lot. One of them: I stop the activity and there appear menu with items:

•  Resume
• Save
• Resume later
• Change sport...

There is a lot of activities, but Garmin only. I can not see there any activity developed by me via SDK
