App crashing since installing new firmware 3.20 on FenixHR

My App Sportsmonitor
https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/f6cf3247-778d-4876-ab12-d6c33b870dea
crashes on Fenix3HR after thirty to sixty Minutes since I upgraded the Device to Firmware 3.20. Version 0.58 was available for some weeks, I never had a crash or got messages from users that the App crashed. Version 0.60 had some new functions, i tested it for about three weeks, did longer exercises with it and uploaded it because it was stable. Last week I got some crashes and thought there was a bug, so I did a rollback and uploaded 0.58 again to the store. Now there are also crashes with 0.58.
The next Problem is, that with Firmware 3.0 and earlier I got a “IQ-screen” when a app crashed (while testing), since 3.20 the watch does a complete restart. The logfiles are empty, just the errorlog.txt has a backtrace, which I already sent to Garmin. CIQlog.txt is empty and “Sportmonitor.txt” only contains my writings, no errors, even if I compile without the “release-checkbox”.

What do you think the Problem is and what can I do?
Is there a bug in the new firmware? (Complete crash of the watch!), Is there a bug in my App, that had no effect with FW 3.0?
  • If you've already sent your 3.20 device crash logs (ERR_LOG.txt) to the device team for investigation, that's the best thing that can be done at this point. If you would like to re-send the logs to [email protected], I'd be happy to follow up and make sure the issue has been properly reported and is being investigated by the device team.

Since this is a device crash (indicating a firmware bug), the crashes you'd seen in the past aren't as important until the firmware issue is addressed, but it might be worthwhile for you to load 3.00 firmware to your device and try running a development release of your app to capture CIQ_LOG.txt logs. That may help you identify a potential bug in your app that was causing the app crashes in the past. If you email to the above address, I can supply you with the older firmware.
  • Thank you Brandon!

    You got mail :-)

I never got a crash with the stable versions, so I will wait for the bugfix.
