Switch to the Glances screen from a watchface?

That's a System 6 thing with complications.

You can subscribe to one of the 39 native complications, and set up onPress to launch the glance for that one. onPress is only on touch devices so the 955 and not the 255 for example.

There was a breatout at the last summit about this too.

I would suggest that you have a device that they are available on if you plan to add them to your app.

I'm able to get onPress called from a simulated Venu2 watch by holding the mouse button pressed on the watchface but I doubt I would be able to go any further since I don't think the simulator can simulate more than a 'thing' at a time.

Both my published apps are forked of other apps that are available for free (just like mine) and are basically for my own personal use that I share with the public. Crystal isn't maintained anymore and Quick-Tesla original contributor is happy with the feature he implemented for his button operated watch while I wanted something more feature rich for my Venu watch). I don't intend to spent money on a watch unless it would be for my personal use. My Venu is enough for me right now. I guess that could be the end of the road of that feature unless the person that requested it doesn't mind be my guinea pig.

You'll see the onPress on the venu2, but in order to go to the glace, you use exitTo() and the complication ID.

Thanks, but how to get the complication ID of the Glance screen? I mean this screen here as shown in the documentation.

Have you looked at the API doc for complications and watched the video from the summit?

When onPress launches a glance on a real device, it starts in full screen.

Are you just talking about getting to the glance loop/widget loop from a watch face in general?  up/down from the watch face does that.

I wonder why garmin keeps deleting these resources. I have seen many of them here with 404 error.
