Hi - I am a computer science student coming here from Fitbit Community, and I am making my first watch face. It's a single Garmin Watch for Venus2 360 X 360 pixel round display AMOLED.
On Fitbit, the file size limit for a clock face was 8MB, but in reality if you loaded anything larger than 2 MB the download speed was so slow that under poor wifi conditions, the file might cancel before it fully loads onto a user's device. This would get you a lot of email complaints from users.
Is there anything similar with Garmin ? I am guessing the download size limits vary for each watch. Is there a page in the guides that show what the size limits are?
I plan to add an image that takes up half the screen, but changes every month to show the seasons (my art is in the style of a paper shadow box to reduce the color complexity) . So twelve 360 x 180 pixel images is the goal. I see that people have file after file of images for each Garmin watch build - so I am hoping that building for just one model will give me more space for image files.
