How do I diagnose "critical error" in the compiler?

I changed a few things. Now I'm getting this:

"ERROR: fenix7x: A critical error has occurred. Please re-run the Monkey C Compiler with logging enabled and file a report with the Connect IQ support team ([email protected])."

I tried commenting out the things I think I changed, but so far no good. How do I turn on compiler logging?

Found it:

private var _myvar as Double;
if (someFunc(self.self._myvar)) {

Apparently a search/replace got excited and put self. in twice. This seems like it should be an error, not cause a compiler crash.
