Speed data with Stryd when set speed and distance from Stryd

Hi,

I wonder about what speed data I get when reading info.currentSpeed, if I have Stryd and settings of distance and speed from Stryd. I don't if info.currentSpeed is from Stryd, from GPS, and if currentSpeed comes from Stryd, it's 3D speed or 2D speed.

Stryd always compute a 3D distance. That's why the 3D distance computation of garmin should be disabled.

When settings are speed an distance from GPS, what you always get when reading info.currentSpeed (and info.elapsedDistance) is 2D data, even if you set in your watch to compute 3D distance and speed (here a discussion about it https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/f/discussion/222544/speed-from-activity-info-currentspeed-is-2d-or-3d-speed-or-it-depends-on-watch-settings).

So if you want to know 3D, you have to calculate it yourself. I suppose this is because of there is no way to know 3D settings in the watch, and then speed and distance need to be always 2D (or always 3D).

And, in the same way, there is no way to know if distance and speed come from GPS or from POD, and then you can't be sure if what you get is 2D or 3D.
