Need Help starting with VS code

I am trying to get started with VScode. I had done some development with eclipse before. I go through the installation steps, but the first problem I run into is the "verify installation" it shows no such command. If I look at the status of the Monkey C extension is says "not activated" There seems to be something fundamental I am missing.

1) Verify the extension is installed. It should indicate, "This extension is enabled globally" below the Disable and Install buttons.

2) Just to make sure you're correctly verifying the installation, press Ctrl-Shift-P and type "ver" in top center the dialog box.

Thanks. Originaly this did not work, but now does. Not sure what changed.

Glad it's working for you now. I've been using VS Code for python for several months, but brand new to Monkey C. In the first week, I've already reinstalled the Monkey C extension because it appeared broken. Like you, but in the opposite direction, I'm not sure what changed!
