Too bad that doesn't happen when the watch crashes hard and reboots. Then you're just left to experiment.

Your prg has the debug symbols.  Did you have it installed from the store and then copy over a sideload built with them?  The sideload will use the name from the store. which can be confusing.

This is a side load for a WF I've been working on. My watch started rebooting a few days ago. I figured out fairly quickly that it was caused by trying to update a value in application.storage each time onUpdate runs. When I changed it to check for seconds == 0 to write it hasn't crashed since. Garmin support was working it until I figured out how to work around it, now I'm waiting to see if they're going to fix it in the firmware, or just call it a won't fix and say to everyone "btw you can't write to application.storage each time onUpdate runs:.

storage.setvalue writes to disk, onUpdate could run multiple times per second and this might be too often for storage.setvalue to handle 

Use SetProperty to have a memory based solution and avoid this write access exception.

(to be fair, I don't quite understand that Garmin wish to push storage.setvalue as the preferred method and has deprecated setproperty) 

setProperty doesn't exist for version 4 so I have a wrapper to handle different versions as I suspect most of us do. My Fenix 7x power cycled again after I made the change to once a minute so there is no workaround, it's just broken. I'm still waiting to hear back from Garmin support.

it exists in api level 4 as well, the api doc is not correct there.
