ActivityRecording.save() crashes on Menu2

Are you trying to use Menu2 on a devices that doesn't have Menu2?  What device are you using?

What's line 544 in Model.mc?

are you doing mSession.stop() before you do mSession.save()?

I am testing on Venu2/Marq/Instinct2/Epix2... simulator and also on my Venu2 device.

Line 544 tries to setData with an already initialized value (always works without menu 2):

mCurrentWaveField.setData( currentWave );

I think the problem comes from activity functions .start(), .stop(), whatever...

Is the setData on 544 getting called after you did the save()?  Put in println calls at the save() and right before 544 if you're not sure.  It wouldn't surprise me if doing satData() after the save() would cause a crash.

Hum... you're right, but error looks like it produces before (also keep in mind it works perfectly with a classic menu)...

My development skills are a bit limitated anyway xDD

Right after you do the mSession.save(), set mSession=null,  Then only do the setData if mSession isn't =null

Just one more question: after saving, I'm making a web request. If my session now is null, I'm worried about what data it sends (but anyway it looks like it works). Could I've trouble with this?

what are you doing in the makeWebRequest?  If your watch is connected to your phone, the fit file should sync to GC fairly quickly, without your app doing anything after the save()

I'm sending data to a website outside GC. Not so much, but some values from the activity. Well, as far as I know, I need  my watch connected to phone in order to send data... These are my first steps with communications, heh, heh.

But it seems to work even with session set to null. I must review more deeper.

makeWebRequest doesn't require an active session, and Activity.Info will have some things after you save(),
