When Watch Face Turns Away From User, It changes color

What watchface is that?  If it's a CIQ one, use "Contact Developer" for it in the app store.

It's a watch face I built, i'm trying to figure out how to fix this bug

Ok, in that case, it looks like when you are in low power, you're not clearing  the screen the same way as when you're not in low power, and in both cases, when you write text, you have COLOR_BLACK as the background for the text.

Without seeing the code, looks like you are setting the background to be COLOR_WHITE when you want it to be COLOR_BLACK.

I agree with jim_m_58. You can tell because of how the text has the background it does. It’s probably just a bug in the code related to painting the screen background or clearing it. 

How would I turn off low power? and is there a way to edit what the watch face looks like in low power?

In the sim, go to settings, and you'll see "Low Power Mode".  Click on that to enter/leave low power.

When I do that nothing happens, is my sim messed up?

Doubtful.  Are you always setting the color to black when you clear the screen?  There are devices that clear the screen before onUpdate() is called and this is something you might not see in the sim.

I am, which I did not know that some devices do that! Is there a way to get a list of devices that do that? I'll update the watch face immediately

The safest thing is to do it for all watches.  When ever onUpdate() is called you always want to draw the whole watch face.  You can use onPartialUpdate to update a small part of the screen (seconds for example)
