GPS Track interval

Hi,

Do you think that it could be possible to create a datafield that save the start position, turn off the gps and turn on the gps when I press a button save the position ?

BR

  • Not a data field, as the activity controls GPS, and a DF can't get button input.  You could try a device app, but after you turn off GPS, turning it back on could have a delay before there is a lock.  In a couple of my apps I use the concept of "way points" where I keep GPS on, but do an addLap() based on a button press, so when looking at the data in GC, you see a lap/split on the map

  • Hi, Thanks.
My dream is to use my watch like my current Oregon GPS : turn it on, check my position on the map, turn it down... and son on. In my Oregon GPS, when I do that, my GPS save all the positions of when I was when I turn it on. Doing like this is a good way to have a track with a few batterry drain.

I wished to do that with the Expedition Mode of my Fenix 7 but unfortunatly the Expedition Mode turn off the altimeter : it's dumb.
