User Feedback Emails

So I've started getting quite a lot of user feedback asking if pmTriathlon will run on the Vivoactive HR; but I've just noticed that if you hit reply on the email, rather than replying to the user's email address like it used to, it replies to "[email protected]"... which means I have no method of corresponding.

I assume there's some plan to allow me to reply again? either directly or through a page on the Garmin site?

It might be worth me updating my app description, or even removing my app completely, considering there are now two forks (that I know of) in the store

It's an issue for most of us around here and has already been reported to Garmin. The idea is that the email field on the contact form should become compulsary for the user.

My apologies. I don't visit the forums here often any more.
I don't mind even if I have to go fill in a form on the website (if they don't want to provide direct emails), if that's going to be an option. Just thought it was odd I was getting questions but no way to respond
  • What works well for me, is to create a simple Google Form, where you ask users to select their device, write their feedback and optionally share their email address.
With a script, each submission is also sent as an email to me (you might also link it to any CRM or whatever fancy tool you use).

Include this link in the description of the app; it also helps if someone has a problem with the app, so they can communicate using the form instead of posting a negative review ;)

    See for example: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/7dd64a99-9dea-4f22-b15b-eceea7e80277

    Kind regards,

    Harry
  • I'm actually finding that people are supplying their email addresses most of the time now with "contact developer". I added "make sure you provide your email in 'Contact Developer' if you'd like a response" at the top of descriptions...
  • You'll only see the noreply address if the reported doesn't provide you with their own email address. The store team thought that customers may want a way to send a message to developers without needing a response other than leaving a review, so that's why we have that feature.
