Real time heart rate data

Hello,

I am trying to develop an app that gets real time heart rate data from the garmin fenix 6 pro solar and sends them to a database ( via the use of a mobile app). Is this possible using the connect IQ SDK ? If so would it be possible to share some insight on how to do that? As I am a bit confused and this may sound naive but is the app only running on the watch or on the phone or at both? And does that mean I have to create an android app that communicates with the garmin watch app? If so, is that possible only with the connect iq store or another sdk is mandatory?

Hey, yeah after a very long process I managed to build an app. You will need to build a garmin device app in Monkey C and an android/ios app that uses the connect IQ SDK. You need to use the Toybox.Sensor module to get the heart rate data and then send it to the mobile app with the Toybox.Communication module (the transmit function). For the mobile app you need to use the connect IQ mobile sdk to create a wireless or tethered connection with the garmin device and then create a connection listener that process the transmitted data from the garmin.
