For some time now, I have suspected that ERA is unreliable - apart from the frequent reports if it "being down". As reported here, I have received no crash reports from my app for at least six months, and I just don't believe it can be that stable.
So I built a test case.
I have published a separate beta version with a known bug. This is a separate version with a new App Id, uploaded as a beta version to the App Store.
I downloaded/installed the beta version on my device (F7) and caused the crash.
The crash is reported in CIQ_LOG.BAK. date and time correspond to my test.
Error: Invalid Value Details: 'Failed invoking <symbol>' Time: 2022-07-10T00:15:05Z Part-Number: 006-B3906-00 Firmware-Version: '8.37' Language-Code: eng ConnectIQ-Version: 4.1.4 Store-Id: eb25d9bc-ca9e-4620-b531-a2365eba7300 Store-Version: 1 Filename: BE3BE936 Appname: raceQs Stack: - pc: 0x1000162f
( although there's no CIQ_LOG.YML at all...odd?
But even 24 hours later, there's still no report of the crash in ERA.
Please, don't suggest that ERA doesn't report on Beta apps unless you know that to be the case.
I'm posting this in the Discussion Forum rather than the Bug Report forum first to test the water.
