Feature Request: Interaction with data fileds

I understand that currently there can be no user interaction with the Connect IQ data fields.

But I have noticed that for some of the special screens - such as metronome, workout, virtual racer, etc - there are a "short cut" menu accessible via the ... button on the 920xt.

I would like to request that this is possible for all data fields that cover a complete data page. This could give us some very powerful data fields :-)

I don't think than any of the features you're speaking of are data fields. I think they may be widgets within the page loop for the activity that you are looking at.

It was my understanding that widgets was part of the watch in the inactive mode, not when you have an ongoing activity.

Or did I miss something?

I'm not sure. Given that I only have a rudimentary understanding of when and where apps and widgets will appear, I can't give a conclusive answer. If both apps and widgets appear in the same page loop, then I don't understand the distinction between an app and a widget (a widget would be an app that just displays data with little or no user input). On a 920, I'd expect apps to be seen on the main page loop (Run, Indoor Run, ..., Triathlon, ConnectIQ App, ...) which you step through with the Up/Down buttons, and I'd expect a separate page loop for widgets. I'm not sure exactly sure where it would appear.

Update: According to this post, you can't currently access the widget loop from within an activity. So I'm wrong.
