Access course via API

Is it possible to access the contents of a course fit file via the API?

I am using Garmin Power Course fit files (basically a course file with additional target power values). The Edge 520 displays the target power only for a second or so via an alert. I'd like to create a data field which displays the target power permanently.

I wasn't able to find any reference to "course" in the API documentation.

This isn't yet available in Connect IQ, but it's something we're definitely working toward.

There is no access to course information in ConnectIQ right now.

If you were using a workout uploaded to your 520, you'd have access to the workout step screen which displays information about the previous, current, and next workout target. If you go to the following link on dcrainmaker.com, and scroll up to the last image in the previous section, you'll see this screen.

Of course you're probably using the course power for a reason. If that is the case, you're probably stuck until either the functionality is added to ConnectIQ or a set of native data fields are added for that.
