GDVC 2022 (Oct 12th)

I was hoping it might be another in-person summit, but I guess it's still too sooon.

With in person, it wasn't only the breakouts and info, but the social side. A chance to hang out with other devs and the Garmin folks for a couple days.

I'm pretty sure AlphaMonkeyC still owes me a beer from the last in-person summit!

I think CIQ is continuously dying thanks to how poorly it is maintained, so there may not be enough of visitors anymore if it will be only in-person summit (apart from few hard-core fans and new business persons…

I'm in the US. The 3 years there were in-person summits they were in Olathe Kansas, but there were many people there from outside the US!

I too was looking forward to an in-person summit. Guess we will have to wait for next year.

If you can, I'd suggest trying to watch live as in the past, the breakouts themselves were available afterwards, but the Q&A at the end of each breakout weren't

it has it's pro's and con's, the pro of the virtual summit is that the reach is bigger as persons are listening in who wouldn't have otherwise attended

Maybe in the future they could do a hybrid where it was in-person and also available on line at the same time. The social side of in-person was nice, where you got to meet a bunch of people, and also got a device to take home.

Recents summits were already like Potemkin village in many ways.

Unfortunately I've the same feeling. Let's at bug section, nobody even answer...

Most problem are resolved by other 3rd developers...

And I think CIQ helps Garmin a lot, strange they doesn't take care of it.
