Selecting Maps to show in Toybox.WatchUi.MapTrackView

Hello everyone!

I created an App fro FEnix6X and others, providing an Mapview.

There are several Maps installed on my watch, and in native Garmin Apps the Maps to be shown are selectable.
How can I provide a selection to the users for my App?

I did not find anython in the docs

In CIQ, you can't. It just uses the map that was selected natively.

what does "selected natively" mean? Where can I set it?
In the Settings->Map Menu, there is no Option to select Maps, only Map Styles, Track Color etc.
When I set Maps in the Map App or native Sport Apps, it has no influence on my App Map.

Shouldn't it be possible by Connect IQ also?

If you select a map for running, that will be the map used in your CIQ app for example. There is no way to select a map within your CIQ app.

Thank's for your reply! But I don't understand completely yet.

So is should be sport dependent? If My App would use swimming, for example, one could set the map used in my app in the native swimming app?

however it does not work. I Changed the map in running and trailrunning, but that did not have a impact on the mmapview withhin my CIQ-App.

On some devices, you set the map in the general watch setting, and then for a specific native activity, you can use the system settings or override that for the activity. Not sure how things work on the f6 pro devices.

Hello, do you know if there is a possibility to select maps now? Without that, the feature of Maps in CIQ Apps is almost unusable for me, because there are maps on my devices that do cover only parts of an area and ony show white on other parts. For the native Sports Apps I deselect this map when not needed, but for CIQ Apps this does not work :-(
