app store is confused in Connect IQ app

I have spent the past four months working on a major upgrade to my app, and now I have uploaded it to the App Store, I can't install it on my watch.

ConnectIQ on my iPhone 11 keeps telling me "a problem has occurred - please try again".

So I have done the reboot of the watch and phone with no improvement.

Here's the issue:

Connect IQ is confused:

Here's the display in ConnectIQ - the description relates to the version I have just (May 24) uploaded 4.1.2, but it reports Version Beta 3.13.1 uploaded Feb2.

The entry on the appStore is correct:

So I don't know how to install!

  • This is a known issue. When you change the description or what's new it's immediately shown in ciq store, but the newly uploaded version can take TIME.... I've been told that Garmin is checking the .iq file... I hope they don't do it manually and can improve this.

However there is also a known bug for beta apps: there shouldn't be such a delay. And usually when I upload a beta app for the 1st time a day it is shown in CIQ store within minutes. But if I upload another version close to the previous one the it can take a day. Some people suggested to re-upload the same version twice. So far it seems to work, but this is one more stupid annoyance that should've been fixed by Garmin long ago.

Even better would be to enable local testing of settings without the need to upload to the store though...
