createBufferedBitmap() and System5

Hi all,

Just checking, but with the recent firmware updates rolled out to devices that incorporates the update to System5, I was really hoping that createBufferedBitmap() would be supported.

A check of Fenix6 devices in the simulator (CIQ SDK and devices fully up-to-date on my machine - 4.1.3) shows (Toybox.Graphics has :createBufferedBitmap) fails. Does this mean older devices, even though they've been updated to System5, still won't get createBufferedBitmap()?? It's there on the Fenix7 devices...

createBufferedBitmap is a CIQ 4.x function, not a System 5 API. Things like the Fenix6 are getting CIQ 3.3.x, so while they are System 5, they are not CIQ 4.x or above and don't support createBufferedBitmap.

if you look in the API guide for createBufferedBitmap, you'll see

"Since: API Level 4.0.0".

Thanks Jim. I had it in my head that System5 uplifted that functionality, but as you've pointed out, it's tied to the API level. Dam!
