Debug LOG (txt) file not being written on Fenix 7x

Hi,

Publish my app for Fenix 7x using SDK 4.0.9. Creating a file called xxx.txt in the LOGS file, where xxx is the PRG filename no longer has any debug information written to it.

This worked in the Fenix 6x with the same SDK.

Has something changed in the APIs?

Hi, Any suggestions on how we debug the apps on device if this is the case...

if you sideload Abc. prg create logs\Abc.txt and it doesn't matter if the prg gets hidden.

Ok so we can debug by side loading. A number of people using the app rely on the data in the debug file to get detailed information. sounds like this is no longer possible.

Nope, it's not on some devices. Writing user info to a log file was never a good idea, The name of the txt file varies, and writing to a log file is also expensive. (file system access). Using a .txt file for logging is for debugging and not for general use.

Indeed but it helps debug devices I don't own and also provides utility to a number of people. There really needs to be an easy way to get data off device. I can't afford to build an iPhone app or website to manage the information people want and have accounts etc etc
