The question tells the story.
Any way to do this, or is the only option to put the whole address in the description ?

The app store doesn't support any kind of markup, markdown or rich text in the description, so nope.
But I've seen some developers use the Companion Hardware link for things other than companion hardware (like a companion app, documentation or companion site.)
if your target is really long, then you could use an url shortener service to make your link shorter
Thanks to both of you. I'll take a look at url shortener services.
Links work fine with the web based store. Are you having an issue with the Connect IQ Mobile app, and is it Android or iOS?
Hi Jim.
It's the web based store I'm concerned with. I'd like to some text in my app description, like "User' Manual" as a link to the user's manual rather than placing a long link in the description.
Do you know of a way to do that ?
I just do links like this:
Off topic, but do people ever donate? (Ratio of downloads to donations?) I started developing as a hobby and don’t like the idea of having to deal with paywalls, refunds, angry customers, etc so just putting an optional donate link seems appealing.
Works for me. When I do get a donation, it's more than $1, and none of that goes to anyone else.
Years ago, one of the CIQ dev who posts in these forums mentioned that they wanted to add markdown support to the store page. Maybe if we request it, it will finally happen...
Upgrades to the formatting that's supported in the App Store would be a real improvement, allowing much more professional looking app descriptions.
