ERROR: 'Run app already running. Do you want to start another instance? Simulator does not start.

I can't start the simulator with VSC on a windows machine, this happens usually after removing a resource for a different one with the same name.

This is the message shown: Doesn't matter what I answer the simulator won't start unless I restart my machine.

I have killed all the processes on task manager that I could link to the sim and still didn't get it to work.

Any idea how to solve this?

Try closing the sim before you try to do a second run. You can also use "File>Kill App" in the sim before you run for a second time

BTW, "Yes" does work for me.

Kill app is in grey, so I can't use it.

That's because you aren't running an app in the sim.

Windows or Mac? It's VS Code, but do you have a Nordic Dongle attached to your machine for BLE? I've had issues with than on win 11.

windows, no dongle, just compilling and running the app on the sim.

Found the solution, this might sound crazy but Fusion 360 is messing with the sim somehow, I realized that everytime this error occured it would be after starting fusion 360, so I tested closing fusion and the sim started to work again!!
