User Reviews Missing

I have a couple of watch faces loaded into the Connect IQ store and until recently the user reviews has worked fine. For one of my watch faces I am receiving email notifications that users have posted a review but the review never appears. I cannot see any settings around the developer being able to control this and wonder if it is a case of information in the store not being replicated out to other servers correctly?

This has been the case for years. Users can leave reviews with no text, The text is optional, and this is not a bug.

Jim, thanks for the reply. I am not seeing anything show up on the website as a review. I get an email notification that a review has been submitted but there is nothing there on the site, not even a review with no text. Just nothing at all! ??

That is correct. If I recall, it's this way for security reasons, where a user might not want their name visible under reviews..

Jim, I am not sure I understand that. The user leaves a review and I get an email with details (see below) but nothing shows on the website. Not even an anonymous review! Nothing! Just an email to me with a link that shows nothing! It seems to be just this one watch face. The others all I support all seem to work as you would expect.

To disable these notifications, just uncheck the corresponding option on the app's edit-page.

What Jim told you is right, those reviews without a review comment won't show on the store.

Personally I think that a review without a comment isn't very helpful. Especially those with low stars, if you have a 1 star review with a comment it can help you understand why the person didn't like the app, a 1 star comment without review doesn't say much. The same is true for high star comments, although less important, but I'd like to know what's it that the user liked?

It is anonymous as far as someone looking at your reviews. This is the way things have worked for years.

You got a 5-star review, and it seems the user had nothing to add to that. It's reflected in your average stats, so it's used.

Jim, Peter, OK I understand Garmin's approach. If there is no written review then there is nothing worth posting to the website. That seems fair! I was probably getting confused by the notification being sent and then not being able to see anything on the site. Thanks for clarifying!
