Getting a personal data field onto your watch **with preferences**

Hi.

I know versions of this question have been asked before here, so apologies in advance if i wasn't able to find a previously given answer to my particular incarnation.

I've written a few personal data fields for my 235, meaning i don't want to make them public right now (perhaps in a month or two, once i generalise them more). They have settings i'd like to be able to adjust from my iPhone (i.e. not needing my computer) through GC, just like can be done with other app store downloads.

If i upload my fields to the connect iq app store, install them my watch while they're still being validated by Garmin (i.e. the few days wait before they go fully public), then remove them straight away from the store, will they continue to function on my watch like a regular app store download, including preferences?

Or will, once i've removed the field from the store, i'll no longer be able to update the field settings using GC on my iPhone (e.g. iPhone GC uses the online CIQ store to validate the field is legit, and if it's no longer there preference won't work).

Thanks,
Darren
