Sign app for sideloading

Hi,

This has probably been asked a thousand time or more so my apologies but I cannot find the answer.

I have build my first watch app (for Venu 2) and tested it on the simulator.

I would like to try it on my watch, so I built it and copied it onto the watch.

On disconnecting the watch it showed the "Verifying Connect IQ Apps" message.

On reconnecting the watch the PRG file had been deleted.

I am sure I am doing something stupid.

I am using Visual Studio and Windows 10.

The app is built for the Venu 2

I got no option to sign the app when doing the build, just the device to build for and the location for the file.

The developer key is defined for the extension and can be for the user or workspace. Since you could run in the sim, you got the key set.

Check the ciq_log file on the venu2 - it's in garmin/apps/logs.

When you built the sideload, you did use the venu2 as the target, correct? When building for a device, you should also see the option of building a release or debug version.

With some devices and app types, the prg file get moved and hidden, The most common instance is media apps.

Are you sure it's not not on your watch? Have you checked in the list of activities to see if it's there?
