garmin instinct solar

Hi all,

just got a new instinct solar. i want to develop an alarm clock app for it, but it seems like the device is not connectIQ supported. Is this device programable at all? can i develop apps for it?

any helpful links will be greatly appreciated.

I thought it was a very poor design decision that Garmin made, to not include ConnectIQ functionality with newer model Garmin model watches, such as this Instinct.

Since it doesn't have connect IQ, no you can't

connect IQ is the only way to program a garmin device? maybe another SDK exists?

The new Instinct 2/2s and Descent 1G/s watches do support ConnectIQ apps, however there is a very small memory footprint afforded them. The new models watches only provide 92k 'app memory', which is less than the Forerunner model 735xt (120k) :(((

I look forward to future Instinct watch releases that support additional app memory.
