We have a NumberPicker, but will there be a TextPicker?

I'm sure that the proposed properties enhancements (being able to set them from within the Garmin Connect Mobile app) could be leveraged to input the data that I want, but I'd really like to keep it all on the device if at all possible.

I'm not super excited about the prospects of implementing my own, so I figured I'd ask to see if it will be safe to avoid it.
  • It would also be nice to have a Generic Number Picker Option too.

    I'm currently using the Calories Number picker for high and low SmO2 limits. It would be nice if the number picker was able to have a custom prompt text.

    I posted on this issue previously, but it might have been overlooked because there was never a reply.

    Here's what the Simulator shows currently. I don't know what it will actually look like on the watch.

    For the text picker it's on our list to provide access to the native one on the device. Our hope is that any text entry is done on the phone via the settings, but I agree that there are instances where you want to enter text on the watch. The trick is that some devices may not have a native text picker, so on these devices you'll have to implement your own or set the text on the phone once that API is available.

    It would also be nice to have a Generic Number Picker Option too.

    We're working on a generic number picker option as well.

    It does look like your previous post fell through the cracks, we're sorry about that. We're doing our best to reply to everything on the forums, but sometimes we miss something. Feel free to ask for updates on any posts you feel that we should have replied to.

    It'll use the watch's native number picker. It's on our list to make a proper device-like number entry page for the simulator.
