make my watch face available for more devices (add more compatible devices)

Hi, I uploaded my watch face to garmin connect iq store: https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/2f24f396-c61d-4e3a-bd99-867e6e45490b after I finished coding it and customizing it for my device which is Venu 2. I want to make it compatible with more devices but I lack of information about it. How can I make it compatible with more devices? And another question that I think is important, what are the most common watches and pixel sizes among the connect iq users (so I will make it compatible for them first)!

The best answer is "support as many devices as you can: Generally, the newer devices are more popular than the old ones. There are variables, such as the fr45,Swim2, and fr55 only support 8 colors which may be a limiting factor. And if you use standard fonts, they do vary between devices, so all 240x240 devices are not the same when it comes to fonts. Then there's also the max memory allowed for something like a watch face

And a big part is your specific app. Out of my watch faces that support a bunch of devices, I have some that have been download 1000 times in a year, and others that are downloaded 1000 times in a day with the same set of supported devices.

Hi Jim, TY for the answer! I think that targeting the newer devices might be a good idea. If so, how can I make a change and make it compatible for vivoactive4 (for example) and still compatible for the Venu 2?

So much depends on your code. Add the v4 as a target, and then look at it in the sim. The va4 has an MIP display vs AMOLED, and is 260x260 vs 416x416
