Watchface doesn't load off IQ store but side load works

Hello,

I have a problem running a watchface on the Approach S60. When installed from the IQ store it doesn't load.

There is no error reported to the CIQ_LOG files.

When I create a debug build and side load it on the watch it works. Does anyone know how I might debug this?

Unfortunately a user has the watch and I don't have this model to do the debug.

In the store, is the S60 seen as a compatible device for your app? Is downloading it to the S60 allowed?

Does it show as installed in the Connect IQ app, Garmin Connect Mobile, Garmin Sxpress?

If you sent the user a sideload, did they delete that before they tried to install from the store?

Yes, it is seen as a compatible device on the store.

For the side load, they deleted the install from the store first then tried the side load.

Then after that they deleted the side load and retried from the store. It still didn't load.

Also it runs fine on the simulator.

Sorry I don't understand your question or how to check for this. I only assumed that the user used Garmin Connect Mobile but I can ask.

I should also add that when running in the simulator I do get this unresolved problem mentioned in this post, although it doesn't happen on startup:

In all three, you can check if the watch face is installed. In the connect IQ mobile app, you can also see if it's queued but not yet installed.

How tight on memory are you? I'm the sim/view memory pay attention to the peak.

The simulator reports nominal usage 59.8/91.9 kB used, peak use: 88.7kB

If you sue app settings, try changing them while running in the sim.

OK, I did so, and all seems OK, and the memory stats didn't change. Do you think I'm too close to the limit for comfort?
