Adding Datafield to custom application

Hello,

I was trying to add Datafiled to my application on FR935 but wasn;t successfull with that.

First of all, application settings on the watch must allow to add a datascreen dynamically. Then Datafiled app has to be selected.

My question is, is it doable ? Are you planning to add support for that?

stating it is not possible to run Datafield in custom App.

As you see in the threads you linked, you can not use a regular data field (native DF or CIQ DF) in a CIQ device app. Say you want to display "distance" in your device app. Your device app itself must take the raw data, do any conversion needed (say Miles vs Km) and manage the display and update.

Ok, thanks for confirmation.

The problem is datafield can offer more complex functionality than simple calculation and CIQ apps cannot use it.

You need to duplicate that functionality in your device app. The device app also needs to handle things like start/stop/pause/save/delete the session, laps, and other stuff.
