Force simulator to use Chrome while makeOAuthRequest

When you call makeOAuthRequest() or openWebPage() on Windows 10 the simulator will open the webpage in Internet Explorer 11 (IE11). The webpage which I'm trying to access no longer supports this ancient browser.

The question is: How can I force the simulator to open the webpage with Chrome or Firefox?

What is the current status regarding this issue? I am wondering as I am working on OAuth support, but the webpage does not load the login fields, so I am unable to debug this way. Also, I would like to check the exact request(s) that is/are sent to the server, and all responses as well. Can this be checked somewhere?

Hi, is there any workaround for this issue? Now I have added Oauth to my app, it is impossible to debug using the simulator as the browser is too old.

Any fixes for this issue yet? I can't believe that there is no solution for such an essential feature.
IE is not supported by Microsoft anymore, so a move to a modern browser is crucial.
What library are you guys using for this authentication, is it something open source that we can have a look at ourselves?

But e.g. connect for Android use something probably webview why simple don't implement the same?

Over two years and no update??? I'm trying to get an oAuth flow work in the simulator but to no luck, the identity provider doesn't support such an ancient web client, they say. Right now I am stuck to debugging my code on target (the browser used by Garmin Connect works), but that is obviously not a viable approach. I am sure many others have the same problem with the embedded browser in the sim. I will file a request in the bug report secction.

Yes, I'm having this problem too. The withings oauth site puts up a cookie popup now which cannot be dismissed, so there is no possibility to authenticate.

The simulator should be using Edge on Windows for oAuth. I just created a ticket to look into why it's still using IE as that's a bug. Unfortunately the the UI library we use doesn't allow us to use a browser other than IE or Edge on Windows.

I seem to recall that when win11 was announced there were changes in this area by MS, so it could work on win11 and not win10... Could it be the people seeing this are on win10? Win11 requires a machine with a GPU, so not all users could update, I have one laptop running win11, and an old one stuck on win10 for example..
