Starting my first app development, I am running visual studio code with the monkey C extension. I've been able to build my app (at least I end up with a prg file) for the 1030, but when I launch the simulator for the 1030 I'm a bit lost. All I see if an image of the device with a garmin icon on the screen. I can have it open a fit file for replay, but I don't see how to interact with the device at all...
FWIW I am on windows 10.

I assume when you open the sdk manager, all the devices are installed properly?

The VS Code extension is still in Alpha, and isn't feature complete. You can't use things like the app settings editor in VS Code. Also, the eclipse interface with CIQ is well documented.
Works for me. I built with CIQ SDK 3.2.5 on Windows 10.
Maybe try the following command in VS Code: "Monkey C: Verify Installation"?

If all else fails, try running one of the samples in the SDK folder.
%APPDATA%\garmin\connectiq\sdks (followed by your specific sdk version)
(There should really be a better way to open the sdk folder imo...)
You can also try creating a new simple datafield project and running that on any device.
