Non-antialiasing font for buffered bitmap

Maybe draw the date over what's displayed from the bitmap and not make it part of the bitmap?

This is how it's made right now.

The downside is that it is redrawn at least every minute. Just wanted to squeeze it somehow into buffered bitmap, since it anyways changes only once a day.

Am I the first one who may ask for system non-antialiased font?

There are also other things to consider, like is doing a drawText that much of an impact that you are willing to change the WF look due to it.  And there can be other things in code that could have an impact too..  Say doing a setValue/getValue each time onUpdate is called, where that can involve hitting the file system (expensive), and even using "has" can be a small impact, as when it's used, it involves a dictionary  lookup vs just checking a boolean that's set elsewhere.

Apart from day of week label and date, I only draw clock hands, and even their (all possible) coordinates are hard coded in the array. So I just convert the current time to a number by which, like by index, I get the coordinates from array and draw the hands. IMHO, can't be more optimal.

True, haven't thought about that.

Setting white, drawing two lines (hours and minutes hands), setting red and drawing one line (seconds).

Can it be optimised?

For things like settings, I cache them in the app, so actually only use getValue() calls when the app starts or based on onSettingsChanged.  It takes a bit of memory to cache the values, but avoids doing getValue() calls each time onUpdate is called.

Ah, you meant settings. No, no color settings. Just setColor and FFFFFF or FF0000.
