Created blank app - fonts missing

Hello. I just created a blank Watch App. (this is my first, so I'm following the tutorial to the letter).

Everything was going smoothly, but when I tried to run the blank app in the simulator, I get a missing font error. I haven't done any code changes yet, just created a new Connect IQ Watch App.

I have installed only the SDK 3.2.3 and only one device (quatix 6)

The console output is as follows:

Error: Invalid Font Specified
Details: Failed invoking <symbol>

The simulator error popup message is:

can't open file

'C:\Users\.......\FNT_FENIX6_CDPG_ROBOTO_24B.cft'

I checked the Fonts folder mentioned in the error, and it is completely empty... like something didn't install... Should I reinstall the SDK or the device?

Any help would be appreciated :-)

There's a recent post about this by Travis.ConnectIQ but I can't find it right now, but if I recall there was an issue with some f6 devices. Have you updated your devices in the last few days, as a new version was released.

I've just installed everything an hour ago... So I guess I should have the latest versions of everything.

Travis is one of the Garmin CIQ folks (the ".ConnectIQ" is how Garmin folks ID themselves here). For now, have you tried a target other than the fenix/quantrix 6?

Well, I did install other devices to see if the fonts kick in, but no luck :( I hope they fix this soon...

What other devices did you try? Maybe just install all the watches, so you have a bunch you can try.

I have the similar problem,.

Setup: Eclipse 2020-12 and new SDK manager and plug-in

Device: Vivoactive 4s

Error: ...ROBOTO_TINY_PLUS_BOLD.cft

If I use Connect IQ 3.1.9 in SDK manager, everything is OK as before (with Eclipse 2020-06 and previous SDK manager),

but if I select Connect IQ 3.2.1 (even if this SDK is available for this device and I have it on my own), simulator on my PC fail with mentioned error. Even if Target SDK before run is selected as 3.1.x

Same here with Fenix 6x as device.

With 3.1.9 it is working. As soon as I switch to 3.2.3, I get the following error when trying to simulate:

can't open file 'C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\ConnectIQ\Fonts\FNT_FENIX6X_CDPG_ROBOTO_27B.cft' (error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.)

Where to get the CFT files?

Thanks for that comment! I have installed 3.1.9 before but it didn't work. But today I have reinstalled the 3.1.9 SDK and my devices and it started up.
