Hi,
I just had a glowing four-star review that lost out on the final star due to Garmin functionality. To wit, somebody on a workout, listening to music, could not hear the alert tone (both tone and vibration selected and as far as I know working perfectly) on account of listening to music as the tone played on the watch and was obscured by the music.
The user was under the impression that the tone should have played on his blue-tooth headset over the music he was listening to. Which is, I guess, technically possible in the fullness of time if it were given as a task, but not achievable today AFAIK.
Then again, I have also had users complaining when I told them that they needed to enable alerts in Settings > System > Sounds that they didn't like it due to the spoken alerts from their phone playing over the music they were listening to...
So...
Not really sure where this goes...
It's not a bug, and not really defined enough to be a feature request. Anybody have any thoughts on this:
Should there be the option to play tone alerts over music? If so, there will definitely be folks who want to turn it off, so there'd probably need to be settings.
Is there any arcane Garmin super-user solution to this problem that already exists and I just don't know it?
