Hello all.
Are there any resources or confirmation that the BLE communication modules use Just Works for pin pairing?
Is there any way to configure this to use another form of BLE security (Without custom creating it)?

If you want any other security, you got to do it yourself. This is a minimal BLE implementations interface with BLE sensors with no build in security.
If there was anything more it would be in the presentation from the 2019 CIQ Summit:
or the BLE announcement or BLE section in the doc
Here's a blog post I did about using a Raspberry Pi with CIQ. There's a sample example of using a watch to control a garage door.
forums.garmin.com/.../would-you-like-some-raspberry-pi-with-your-connect-iq
In the real real version of that app (just used it 15 minutes ago) I added some security on the pi end, doing things like providing a white list of BLE Mac addresses that could control the pi.
I'd also like to know if that will be possible in future?
Highly doubtful, as BLE in CIQ is minimal, and mainly for connecting new BLE sensors. I've never seen a BLE sensor use pins.
Ther are, for example Specialized Turbo Levo. MJ 2019 and newer require PIN to access some data.
