CIQ 3.2.X Devices has automatic dc.clear() during high power mode?

I noticed that the screen is being cleared every second automatically when in high power mode for CIQ 3.2.X Devices, as I do not want to clear the screen every second to save some processing and patch only part of the screen that needs update, is there any way to turn that off?

There are a number of threads about issues with only updating part of the screen in onUpdate when things like toasts only cover part of a screen. While there might be a small hit to battery, the safest is to do the whole screen with onUpdate(), and use onPartialUpdate() for partial updates.

In Simulator the behavior seems normal without auto clear, but the auto clear is noticeable once deploying to actual devices, my Vivoactive 4 cleared the screen whille Vivoactive 3 did not. If there is no way to turn off the auto clear then maybe I will make the patching exclusive to non CIQ 3.2 devices as I tested the patching very effective to save battery.

There have been some issues with battery on the va4 where watch faces stay in high power, so that could be why you're seeing higher battery drain. See the forum for the va4.
