Datafield using CIQ 3.2 features for Edge 1030

Hi all,

It was a struggle to update the SDK (well, actually it was easy, but it is not obvious you have to update the plugin as well and how to do that: in Eclipse: help, install new software, add the garmin site and do as if installing, then Eclipse will say "already installed, updating").

But now I want to use 3.2 features for my Edge 1030 with firmware 10.22 (beta) that supports CIQ 3.2.

I cannot build for a 1030 in Eclipse with SDK 3.2, I am forced to 3.1 (that is probably due to the device software in the SDK manager that is not yet updated for the 1030 to support 3.2?)

However, it compiles the features fine.

Will the compiled app work when manually placed on the device, or do I risk bricking it ?

It probably won't get CIQ support in devices for the 1030 until there is production FW with 3.2 for it. You'll be fine with doing a sideload. I wouldn't put it in the store yet, as many people might not update to the beta FW. If you do, you may want to use "has" before you use 3.2 features.

wow that´s great news where can i see the devices are going to be updated to 3.2??
