Exception: Key does not exist in Application Properties

I am finding this error when calling:

Application.Properties.setValue("key", " value" );

To a readonly property

And after changing settings in Garmin Express.

If you change settings in ConnectIQ, everything works fine.

Any clue??

There is:

Application.getApp().setProperty(key,value);

There is also:

Application.Storage.setValue(key,value);

Application.getApp().setProperty() writes to a different storage system than Application.Storage.setValue(). The former is as per configuration in settings.xml / properties.xml and the latter is more ad hoc and is not exposed to the user.

Sounds to me he's writing to the .set file, so not Application.Storage, but Application.Properties would be the alternative.

Using a try/catch would provide a means to recover from the error.

Thanks a lot for your answer!!. Yep, that's what I did to stop failing... I enclosed the call in a try catch, but, I still have no clue why it fails. And also, when it fails, I do not get to write the value. It is not important. But I want it written... Thanks for your answer!
