I have raspbian (now called pi os) and with the Chromium browser, and can download the SDK Manager just fine. The browser is what IDs the system you are on to the server, so I would try a browser other that firefox, or check settings in firefox to see if you have some security set too tight. After you get the sdk manager, (a few minutes) you can go back to the way you were.
