two people can't use my watchface, what do I do?

I wrote the "Another Mario" watchface and it has 789 downloads as of today. I've been using it as my own watchface on my forerunner 935 for two years. I've had two people say that it doesn't work at all for them. One sent me a photo of his watch with the IQ with a yellow circle with an exclamation point.

Once in a while I get that too, but it is rare. It always goes away on its own. It hasn't done it in a while. How do I troubleshoot this for those users? The code for the face is really very simple. It just shows HR, battery, time, date, and whether an alarm is set.

When you or a user sees an IQ!, there's a log in garmin\apps\logs called ciq_log that details the crash.

You'll also see them by way of ERA, where things like the line numbers are resolved.

Null check things.

For example, activityInfo.currentHeartWate will be null if the watch isn't being worn.

Wow thank you. I found the issues. Now I am not sure how to solve them.

var elev = activityInfo.altitude;
var elevString = Lang.format("$1$'", [elev.format("%.0f")]);

var heart = activityInfo.currentHeartRate;
var heartString = Lang.format("$1$ bpm", [heart.format("%d")]);

I get Unexpected Type Error on both of those lines with the Lang.format. So weird that the watchface actually works most of the time.

If it's got OHR, usually not if the watch is being worn. That's how many watch faces display "real time" heart rate.

I wrapped both of those with a check for null and uploaded it. Still waiting to hear back from the user.
