APAC and watchfaces

Hi, I am receiving messages from users of different Garmin devices (945, 5x,...) that they cannot download my watchfaces because they get a message that their devices are not compatible. If I have not read wrong in the forum, it is a problem with the APAC firmware that is not updated by Garmin. There is no way to give support and what can they use?

What do you have set for the minimum SDK version in the manifest.xml file? If you have it set for 3.2.x, it will only be available for devices with 3.2.x, which may not include APAC devices right now.

I keep the minimum at 1.2.x, and then limit things based on specific targets. If the app needs CIQ 2.x or greater, I don't include any CIQ 1.x targets or make the code smart enough to only use things that are ciq 2.x or greater if available.

Hi Jim, thanks for your quick response, yes I have set the minimum SDK version in 1.2.x in manifest and "has" its my friend, but one that have reported this to me uses a 945 firmware version 4.70, so I still don't understand why it is not compatible.

If they just got the FW (saw it's a new watch), the app store may not know they have installed the update. Have them check "about" on the watch to make sure it's installed, and then sync with Garmin Express if possible. If not, they could try looging out of GCM and then logging back in.
