Wearable computing is often talked up as the next big thing. So how hard can it be to build a tech? Is there an essentially creating a market for itself by solving other people’s supply chain problems?

Looking at some kickstarter campaigns there have been some great ideas that made it to the working prototype stage but who have failed to take it up to the production level, probably due to lack of experience in the area.

And if you mess up software, it can usually be fixed/patched pretty cheaply but if you have the power button falling off after a month, you are looking at a very expensive recall
