Weather for Datafield

I think it´s not possible by now because edge devices has not 3.2 but if i wish to get weather on a data field i should be doing this?

The info parameter passed to compute() is a Activity.Info object. It doesn't have windBearing, windSpeed, or temperature fields. This means that your has checks will always fail.

If you want access to weather data, you need to use the functionality provided in the Weather module. Note that the weather data on the device is updated periodically (typically no more than once an hour) when the device has access to a network connection. Some devices disable access to WiFi when an activity is being recorded, and others only have access to WiFi when using the WiFi sync functionality.

As I said in my post makeTemp, windDir and windSpd are just helper functions I have that do things like C to F conversions.

Look at the parameters they are passed. cc.(whatever)

xuxumatu- just a request for the future... could you try to use code blocks when you paste code into your posts? It makes things much more readable (especially if you set Go as the language). You should find the Insert > Insert Code item in the menu for the post editor.

but now i wish how could i do to work on 3.2 and 3.1 devices, i mean, when i change the simulator to 3.1 shows me

You are using hasWeather wrong, after initialize() it’ll be true or false.

Later in compute() you could just do ”if (hasWeather) { /* do all the weather stuff */ }”

The original code I posted just has

if(hasWeather)

There is no need to check it against null.

and in my code, that was inside compute() so it would update.
