Mobile SDK openApplication() behaviour in CIQ 3.2 (Just This Once/Always/No)

Hi,

I have a companion Android app using Mobile SDK's openApplication() API to launch my CIQ app. This works fine before and on CIQ 3.2 on my Fenix 6, however in CIQ 3.2 I see the watch notification now includes a choice:

Launch XXXX?

- Just This Once
- Always
- No

In previous version it was simply a Yes/No question for user, where user was supposed to select "Yes" every time to launch my app.

In CIQ 3.2 "Always" suggests user no longer needs to select it every time a notification comes in. However it doesn't seem to work. The next openApplication() from Android app will simply show that watch prompt again.

Is this a known issue? I don't see an update in Android mobile SDK and nowhere I can find a documentation about this change.

Gyus, does Mobile SDK works for you now at all? On my app it stopped working recently, reportedly with latest Garmin Connect mobile app update.

What version number is that? 4.36.2?

yes, but I am unable to confirm it started with this version/app. I just started to get reports this weekend for related issues.

I just tested with 4.36.2 garmin connect mobile app (Android) on my Samsung S8 and my CIQ app on Fenix 6 pro, it works fine with openApplication() though.

Just tested the mobile SDK's openApplication() API to launch an CIQ app, however selecting "Always" is still not working. The prompt will be shown on next time anyway.

Tested on a Garmin Edge 530 with software version 9.50 if that helps...

Could you look into it @GarminDevelopers?

Not surprised that this issue isn't being looked at all after 2 years, just like many other reported issues. I've given up on CIQ platform and stopped maintaining all of my apps even though I still use and love my Fenix 6 pro every day.
