Simulator version

I upgraded my eclipse plugins, got the new SDK manager, downloaded the 3.2.1 and Edge 530 device and run the simulator and checked with System.println(System.getDeviceSettings().firmwareVersion) and it said [5, 10]. Am I still running some old simulator or is the 5.10 firmwared one still the latest?

That's the whole thing about how devices are separate from the SDK in 3.2 and how you can update devices from the SDK Manager.

So the 3.2.1 SDK could support a CIQ 3.2 VM on a 530 target.

What your are seeing is the FW version for the 530 in the sim. If it reported 3.2, your app would assume that the 530 has CIQ 3.2 You need to lock at the version of the sim itself. Check under Help>About in the sim.

Aah. monkeyVersion indeed says 3.1.3.

So when e.g Connect IQ 3.2.2 is released with support for the anti-alias for the Edge 530, it is bundled with a firmware release (e.g 6.1.0) and there is a new "simulator image" for the 530 downloadable?
