How can I get heart rate info on a Vivoactive 4s

I'm trying to access heart rate info on my Vivoactive 4s, unsuccessfully so far. I've tried

ActivityMonitor.Info.currentHeartRate,
ActivityMonitor.Info.heartRateSample
ActivityMonitor.Info.heartRate
Activity.Info.currentHeartRate

none of which give me a reading.

How can I get the heart rate from my Vivoactive 4s?

Is it a WF?

First thing to try is Activity.Info.currentHeartrate, but that can be null (say you aren't wearing the watch or simulating data in the sim.

The fallback then would be on of the getHeartrateHisory() calls (ActivityMonitor of SensorHistory) and use the newest sample.

Thanks for a quick answer. I'll give those a try. From what you've just said it could well be that I was not wearing the watch when trying Activity.Info.currentHeartrate.

Interestingly Activity.Info.currentHeartRate didn't work but Activity.getActivityInfo().currentHeartRate (found in another thread on here [apologies for not finding that before asking the question]) did.

Atctivity.Info is the short hand for Activity.getActivityInfo(). The Info class under Activity.

Like in the API doc:

Class: Toybox.Activity.Info

Oh. I couldn't get Activity.Info to work though. On a (slightly) related note. I can no longer find the Programmers Guide, I just get a 404 not found error. I've tried clearing my cache and trying a different browser but to no avail. It seems to have disappeared (if disappeared it has) since the new 3.2.0 SDK.
